Why Rejected

Pink Onyx is a calcite stone formed through successive deposits of calcium carbonate from mineral-rich water. Pure calcite is white or clear, while trace minerals introduced during formation contribute to the pink, blush, and cream coloration present throughout the stone. Across Mangalam, these deposits produce changing bands and areas of pink, white and cream. In these four pieces, pale calcite-rich formations occupy an unusually large proportion of the visible stone, interrupting the predominantly pink distribution found across the wider edition. The formations continue through the material rather than sitting on its surface, becoming fully apparent only as individual sections of stone are cut and hollowed.

Permanence & Registry Loop

Mangalam - Rejected Edition is registered to an independent House ledger upon acquisition. While the initial olfactive medium is transient, the solid Pink Onyx vessel is engineered with a permanent internal core designed to remain completely undisturbed. Once the flame is complete, the work serves as a permanent architectural fixture, accepting our proprietary interchangeable wax inserts managed seamlessly through the House Concierge. Due to the untamed nature of this specific edition, the physical markings registered to your piece remain entirely singular.
